bankofbarodaThe former Vijaya Banks branches get successful technology integration with Bank of Baroda. It is a part of the post-merger integration of the three way merger of public sector banks in India, by the technology solution provider Accenture.

A joint statement released today stated that Accenture is now helping former Dena Banks IT systems align with Bank of Baroda.

In 2019, the merger of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank created the country’s third largest public sector bank.

With the completion of this project, the combined technology architecture will be helping the merged entity seamlessly integrate its India-wide customer services and business operations network of nearly 9,000 bank branches and 12,000+ ATMs.

Accenture, playing the role of the leading technology partner, developed the blueprint for consolidating the IT systems of the three banks and now is assisting in the execution of the technology strategy integration, including data migration, application and data center consolidation, in addition to business continuity management.

The completion of the Vijaya Bank migration will benefit almost 21 million customers from the 19,000+ Vijaya Bank branches in the seamless migration to Bank of Baroda.

The released statement added, “The migration was executed remotely during the ongoing pandemic with no impact on business continuity.”
